My passion is helping new parents thrive and build confidence in themselves and their bodies. Above all, I believe in empowering families to take control of their experience - giving women the tools to become active participants in their care.
Birth is just one part of the entire pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey that shapes you into the parent you’re becoming.
You don’t have to go through this journey alone, and you don’t have to be a passive passenger while things happen to you.
Having a midwife means being supported in every decision you make, educated about your options, and connected to a community that nurtures you as you grow.
As a midwife and a mother in this community, I feel truly grateful to be a part of this journey with you. It's a privilege to walk alongside you as we bring new life into the world together.
I am a natural minded mom who loves teas and the remedies you can find in your kitchen, hiking and books, along with cooking for my family and getting dirt on my hands in the garden with my kids.
I believe in attachment parenting, free range kids, and the importance of nurturing our children’s individual spirits.
I have five kiddos of my own.
All born with their own individual experiences. One born in the hospital, Three in birth centers, one at home.
Serving families since 2001 as a Childbirth Educator, Nanny and has enjoyed offering birth support to hundreds of birthing women since 2009 as a Doula before becoming a Midwife.

My deep reverence for the body's transformation through pregnancy and birth - from maiden to mother - is what drew me to the path of midwifery. I have such respect for the innate wisdom that women embody, and I am honored to help them cultivate more awareness of our mind-body connection throughout pregnancy.
I have an unshakable belief that our bodies are not 'broken', and that humans have every capacity to heal, regenerate and renew. My background in vitalism and herbs has taught me that healing happens naturally when we provide our body with the right support and nurturing.

Our Team

Student Midwife Shelby Adams
Shelby is passionate about helping families feel confident, informed, and supported through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Her journey into birth work began after her own hospital induction, which showed her the importance of understanding your options and being an active participant in your care—no matter the setting.
As a doula she has supported families in a variety of birth environments, offering steady, continuous support. She also prepares parents through childbirth education classes to approach birth with clarity and confidence.
Shelby is continuing her path toward midwifery, rooted in her deep respect for the physiological birth process and the body’s innate ability to give birth.
When she’s not at a birth, Shelby is at home with her 2 children and 3 big dogs. She is a coffee enthusiast and enjoys true crime documentaries in her free time.
